TERMS & CONDITIONS
When a wedding date is booked a £50 booking fee is required made payable to Karen McGrath Flowers. If, for any reason you decide to cancel your wedding this booking fee is non–refundable. If you decide to postpone your wedding we will hold your deposit until your wedding goes ahead. The £50 deposit is subtracted from your final wedding bill. Once your wedding date is booked with us a further consultation will be scheduled approximately 6-8 weeks before your wedding. This is to finalise the flower content, and number of arrangements / buttonholes etc. We order your wedding flowers approximately ten days before your wedding date, dependent on type of flower chosen, therefore no changes can be made after this date. We will, however be able to make small increases e.g. numbers of buttonholes / corsages. A quotation for the cost of your wedding flowers will be sent out to you after your initial consultation. This is only a guide price and may be subject to change due to the market cost of the flowers, VAT & import increases at the time of ordering and due to any changes you make nearer to the wedding day. A final cost for your wedding flowers will be sent out to you after your final consultation with us. The final quote/ invoice must be checked by the wedding party as this is what will be provided to you on the day, therefore please double check number of arrangements/ bouquets/ buttonholes etc. The payment of your wedding is needed by the date indicated on your invoice. This is usually 4 weeks before the date of the wedding. Karen McGrath Flowers reserves the right to cancel any wedding flowers, if payment is not made by the due date. Your flowers will be ordered 10 days before your wedding, if at this stage payment has still not been made, then flowers will not be ordered and our contract to supply your wedding flowers will be unfortunately be terminated. We pride ourselves on delivering your flowers in perfect condition and that all the number of items are always correct as per the invoice. Any queries with regards to the flowers must be raised within 1 hour of delivery.
AVAILABILITY OF FRESH FLOWERS
As fresh flowers are a living product there are occasions that a particular flower may be unavailable. Whilst every effort is made to source the product sometimes we are physically unable to use a particular flower. All fresh flowers are subject to availability and stringent quality checks. Karen McGrath Flowers, reserves the right to use a similar flower in place of the previously chosen flower.
FLORAL DESIGN SERVICE
On occasion Karen McGrath Flowers will provide proposals in the form of photographic images, sketches and written descriptions. All designs are the property of Karen McGrath Flowers and if you choose not to use Karen McGrath Flowers to provide your wedding flowers, all pictures must be returned without being copied.
A deposit of £50 cash may be required on hired items. Any missing or damaged items must be paid for in full. All hired items must be returned by the hirer within 48 hours unless special arrangement has been made. Collection of hired items can be arranged as a chargeable extra. Cash deposit will be returned upon all hired items received in original condition.
DELIVERY & EVENT SET-UP
Delivery charges and costs are included on the initial quote. Incorrect personal details may lead to problems or delays in delivery, so before confirming your order please ensure that all information is correct. As an extra measure incase of unforseen problems please provide Karen McGrath Flowers with the contact person, telephone number or e-mail address of yourself and also your venues so that we can notify you/them in the event that any delivery problems are encountered. Karen McGrath Flowers will personally deliver and set up your flowers unless otherwise agreed. For large events trusted assistants are brought in to ensure smooth and timely set up. Karen McGrath Flowers accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by flames or lit candles at an event once we have left the wedding set up. Whilst Karen McGrath Flowers provide candles and candle vessels, it is usually the caterer and/ or venue staff that light them and we will not therefore be held accountable for any damage caused by them.
Karen McGrath Flowers accepts no responsibility for failure to collect, wear or use any arrangements for specific use by the bridal party, i.e. buttonholes or bouquets, once they have been left by our team at the relevant- and pre-agreed- venue. Any oversight to correctly collect and, for example, pin on buttonholes on behalf of the wedding party as a whole, or by an individual, remains the responsibility of said wedding party and/ or individual.
Cancellation of the Karen McGrath Flowers products or service must be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Any booking fee paid will be retained regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation (or if reasonable time is given that this date can be re-booked it will be refunded at the owners discretion). As per term outlined in the 'Wedding' section above, we must receive full payment 4 weeks before the event. If you cancel your event within this time, after we have received payment from you, we will be unable to offer a full refund. Please see below for following timescales and refund amounts:
>> 6 months or more before event date (Booking fee retained, no further payment required)
>> 6 months to 4 months (Booking fee retained plus 25% of final amount payable to cover admin works and sundries already ordered)
>> 4 weeks – 2 weeks before event date (Booking fee retained, plus 50% of final amount payable to cover admin works and sundries already ordered)
>> 2 weeks up to event date (Booking fee retained, plus full amount payable).
In the event that you are not satisfied with the Karen McGrath Flowers product or service, any complaints should be addressed in the first instance, and within 1 working day of the delivery date, to:
DISCLAIMER- Ill health, Acts of God or adverse weather conditions
Whilst we agree to use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Karen McGrath Flowers is fully operational and error-free we cannot guarantee this. Acts of God, sudden ill health and adverse weather conditions may affect our ability to deliver the Karen McGrath Flowers product or service. However, in cases of adverse weather we will remain in contact with you in the lead up to the event and, if the event is out of season, we will discuss a contingency plan with you on the lead up to your wedding. We have contingency plans for such occasions of sudden ill health. If Karen McGrath of Karen McGrath Flowers is unable to personally complete or deliver your event, then this will be outsourced accordingly to our close network of recommended freelancers and suppliers. Ultimately, we can accept no responsibility for Acts of God, sudden ill health or adverse weather conditions and if we are prevented from providing the Karen McGrath Flowers service or product as agreed, then we can only offer a refund of full monies paid.
PROPS, STYLING AND DÉCOR
Items hired or borrowed from Karen McGrath Flowers (such as vases, containers, props) shall at all times remain the property of Karen McGrath Flowers. You are responsible for the goods during the hire period from the time of delivery until the goods are accepted back into the possession of Karen McGrath Flowers. All items must be returned in the condition they were delivered or a replacement fee for the item will be charged. The hire period for all goods supplied by Karen McGrath Flowers will be variable and agreed prior to your wedding day, along with details for return/collection.
We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions of Karen McGrath Flowers product or service from time to time. We will inform the you of any changes to the Karen McGrath terms and conditions. If you do not sign and return a copy of your booking form enclosed herewith; by the act of paying a booking fee taking part in ongoing correspondence you are proceeding with the booking and entering into a contract and therefore agree to these Terms and Conditions.
